About VAYSAR

Our Goal

Victorian Aboriginal Youth, Sport, and Recreation (VAYSAR) exists to promote a healthy and active lifestyle across the Victorian Indigenous Community. We acknowledge the crucial roles played by Parents, Coaches, Trainers, Volunteers, and Support Professionals in encouraging health and activity and we provide resources, events, and training to support their efforts. We aim to create sustainable links between all areas of Indigenous activity and mainstream sporting communities and to work with both government and complimentary organisations to ensure a flourishing Victorian Indigenous Community.

Our People

Our board consists of community members with a depth of experience in Indigenous sport and wider community issues. The board meets regularly and reflects on current circumstances to create a vision for the operations of VAYSAR that best supports the Victorian Indigenous Community.

The staff at VAYSAR are a passionate team dedicated to the day to day operation of the organisation. The team has a long history of initiating and supporting community activities that have made significant impacts throughout the community.
